Overview

Xapo combines the convenience of an everyday Bitcoin wallet with the security of a deep cold storage Vault. Our business is growing fast, and we want to make sure we can keep providing the best quality support to our customers. We are looking for a Legal -Inhouse Lawyer professional who can actively contribute to a challenging work environment.


Responsabilities

Advise the team about finance and securities law matters to ensure consistency of business policies.

Communicate efficiently with vendors, clients and internal parties at Xapo regarding diligence performance of agreements, structure transactions, local procedures, etc.

Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret agreements covering the scope of our business and commercial activities, including financial aspects, licensing & service agreements.

Advise in regulatory and financial EU aspects.

Advise business partners on legal issues and risks, company policies, and business strategies.

Assist in creating and improving agreements and templates for corporate and strategic matters. In addition to new licence policies, procedures and guidelines as required

Requirements

Education background: J.D. degree.  Admitted to practice in EU, England

+5 years of experience practicing law, at a top-tier law firm or in-house, handling corporate and regulatory matters for the banking or financial services industry.

Experience drafting, negotiating and advising on financial agreements.

Experience in financial regulated business (i.e. Money Transmitter Licenses, Trust License, etc) .

Detail-oriented, business-friendly, and a team player, with an ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Outstanding analytical, communication, organizational, negotiation, and drafting skills.

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Candidates should be based in Gibraltar (or surroundings) to be considerate for the position


Additional skills:

Bilingual in English

Speak a second language ideal, preferably Spanish, but not a requirement

Positive attitude, passionate about Bitcoin and digital currency.

Determination and perseverance.

Team players with strong communication skills and a sense of humor.
